PURPOSE:
The Arizona Airports Association (AzAA) was formed in 1979 to bring together the representatives of public and private airports and others interested in the general benefit of aviation to provide information,expertise and support to all those in the State’s aviation industry.
MEMBERSHIP CLASSES:
EXECUTIVE Membership shall be open to persons exercising active responsibility for the management, general supervision or administration of an Arizona Airport and who is engaged in such activity as a gainful occupation and who devotes at least fifty (50) percent of his or her daily working hours in matters that directly relate to the management of an airport. An Executive member may retain this designation though he or she discontinued working at the job that qualified them for the Executive membership status.
ASSOCIATE Membership shall be open to any individual or organization that is interested in and subscribes to the PURPOSE of the Arizona Airports Association Inc. as declared in Article II of the AzAA Constitution. The Associate Director will represent the Associate membership at Board of Director’s meetings.
CORPORATE Membership shall be open to either public or private organizations that are engaged in activities relating to the use and promotion of airports, aviation or of products that are used in airport and aviation activities. Please submit a brief corporate profile with membership application. Each Corporate member shall be entitled to appoint one representative who shall be authorized to represent the Corporate member at any meeting or other proceeding of the Association, except declared Board of Director’s meetings. Each Corporate member shall register in writing with the Association the name of the corporate representative, the representative’s title, residence and business address and the position of the representative relative to the
Corporate member. No official action relative to the Association by the Corporate representative will be permitted until such registration has been
accomplished. The Corporate Director will represent the Corporate membership at Board of Director’s meetings.
STUDENT Membership shall be open to any individuals who are engaged in the study of
airport development, administration, management and operation or in any related field of aviation (but who are not representing a school), is a full-time student as defined by the institution in which they are enrolled, and who have been sponsored for membership by a member in any classification.
FOOTNOTE: Applicants for membership are requested to have a sponsor that is a current member of the Association. If an applicant is not acquainted with a member, please call the Membership Chairman to have a sponsor assigned. The purpose of the sponsor is to introduce new members to current members during conferences or at other sessions as may be planned.
